I loved the art and I was there for the story. I totally ship the vampire and the mirror!

I love the vibe of this visual novel! Keep up the good work <33

oh gosh i didn't expect an entire walkthrough haha it was a really nice surprise! your video also made me realize how different the feeling is without the camera movement of the cursor, thank you for this!

What a cool game! I really love this creative way of presenting and telling a story. Great atmosphere and very clever and enjoyable. Thanks!

glad you like it! thanks a lot ^^

Hello, could you please mark the downloads with the OS they're for? (The checkmarks next to "Executable" on the edit project page) I can only download games via the itch app (browser downloads autofail here and the browser version of the game just never loads--this is an internet problem on my end that I've been unable to get fixed, not something wrong with the game itself), but since they're not marked with the OS, it doesn't recognize "Her_Majesty_Mirror-1.0-pc" as being Windows-compatible.

hi, i have marked the downloads as executables accordingly, hope it works!

Thank you!

I forgot I had this tab open, and I thought it was a youtube video playing piano music. Either way, I enjoyed the game.

/orz that's what happens when one picks a little generic piano BG music from youtube haha but thanks for playing!

Your welcome.

HJAJSAS I love the story! I also feel awful about MC's fate yet the fact that she's willing to face it and staying-- I'm not sure if anyone could call it foolish or stubborn, but I suppose to MC she's willing to stay where she always did, I'm also stupidly happy that she even wanted the Magic Mirror to come with her, and when she couldn't, it was just one of the reasons to stay. What a tragic end for them...

ahh i'm very glad you liked it! since it's a super small story, i didn't want to stretch it with multiple endings so i went for a kind of bittersweet tone haha but even though they have accepted the future, MC and Mirror will have each other~ ^^

This was amazing. I really enjoyed the graphics and writing. In a way, the length made it even more fairytale-esque, fairytales do not tend to last long. Inredible job!!!

oh wow i didn't realise that the length would be impacted by the fairy-tale influence like that! haha a bit of a coincidence but it did make me feel better for having to keep it short :') thank you so much! ♥

This is sooo good. I loved it. Such a creative and interesting story. Beautiful and well-written too.

ahh thank you for your comment! there are a lot of things about the story that i would go further with now that i've looked back, but i'm glad you liked it even so :')

i've just played your game for O2A2, 'A Day of Her Life',  and i absolutely love it too! it's so impactful and touching, thank you for making it! keep up the good work ^^

O2A2 is so hard because so many details - big and small - need to be sacrificed to keep that word count down. Other paths we dont even get to scratch the surface of, let alone explore properly. For our game I’m really caught in a dilemma. Do I just leaving it as it is, since I told the difficult story I needed to tell (I hope) despite all those constraints. Or do I dive back in and explore the pieces (in my case probably Maria’s side of the story) because I just need to know what she’s like and how things might turn out for them. I’m still not sure. I suspect many O2A2 participants face the same questions with their stories too.

true! i agree with the struggle of working within the rules though that's also the fun part haha

i think it's great that despite O2A2's limitations, you have put out the story that you intended to convey so congrats on that! i also think it's wonderful that you feel the need to flesh it out, such as for Maria's POV, it's something important to you and i'm sure it will help a lot of people who can relate to it too, so if it brings you a sense of fulfillment or relief to see the characters through, you can go for it beyond the jam where you have more room to expand and tell the story you really want to share, but take care of your own needs first of course, and remember there's no pressure, you've already made a great game :) all the best!!

Just now I am reading the details of the jam this game was submitted, I am so dumb.

The game is great, you get to really feel both characters, even tho one is a mirror, you really get the tone of the conversation with the music and the subtle expressions of the characters, I really wanted more but now I understand why it was so short, because is supposed to be.

Also that little camera movement is great for immersion. Keep the good work!

hi, thanks for the video!! i understand how it must have been a surprise at the short length if you didn't know about the game jam beforehand haha, this is by no means a full-lengthed vn due to the nature of O2A2 so my focus was more on the interaction however brief it may be, i did intend to go a bit further but had to consider the jam's limitations ;;

i appreciate your interest in wanting more nevertheless! if this idea is ever picked up again i will certainly expand on the characters and experience ^^
